All thanks to God for making us witness together a remarkable year. 2019 was a great year, inspite of the challenges here and there , we were able to overcome.
Thanks to all our esteemed members for their commitment, dedication and contributions so far. We couldn’t have achieved any of the success in 2019 without you all. Big thanks to our Management team and all Local organising committee members for 2019 events. God bless you all immensely.
On behalf of the entire management, I welcome you to this great year 2020. It’s the last year of the decade and its the year of Nurses and Midwives – an outstanding year for us all.
This year, many events and activities will be coming up to reinforce what we’ve already started which is re-orientating the public. The task isn’t just geared at the public but also Nurses. Nurses need to know who they are and stop being defined by the government, society and the public.
The focus this year is on empowering young Nurses for the realities of Nursing practice in Nigeria, promoting mentorship among Nursing leaders , foster behavioural modifications (Nursing practice and relationships), mind re-orientation, capacity building and self development among Nurses, and redeeming our public image through education and enlightenment campaigns.
I want to implore us all never to relent. We may not be seeing the results yet, but everything we do will definitely add up someday.
The change we desire can only be achieved when people are committed to actualize those changes. It requires You and I.
Former US President, Barack Obama once said, “Change will not come if we wait for some other person, or if we wait for some other time. We are the ones we’ve been waiting for. We are the change that we seek.”
We are the change agents!
We are the Revolutionists!
I celebrate with you all and I say welcome to an outstanding year.
